About These Terms

“EndViolenceEverywhere.org,” “EVE,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means End Violence Everywhere, a U.S. 501(c)(3) and its Canadian charitable affiliate. “Services” means our websites, mobile applications, AI chatbot (“EVE AI”), and in-person advocacy programs. “You” means any user of the Services. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Services that link to or reference these Terms. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy. If we make material changes that affect how we collect, use, or share information, or that impact safety or confidentiality, we will provide prominent notice before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the changes.

Mandatory Reporting

We may disclose information from or about you if we have a good faith belief that such disclosure is (a) reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, CPS/CAS disclosure requirements, law enforcement instructions and orders, such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, judicial proceeding, or other legal process served on us; (b) helpful to prevent, investigate, or identify possible wrongdoing in connection with the Site; or (c) protect our rights, reputation, property, or that of our users affiliates, or the public.

EVE may use cookies to enhance your experience while using our site. EVE AI Data Collection and Privacy

Anonymity and Data Use: EVE AI is designed to prioritize your anonymity. You are not required to create a login, provide personal identifying information, or register to use EVE AI. Users can input their situations and interact with the chatbot immediately, without any identification steps. However, by interacting with the chatbot, you consent to the collection and storage of anonymized conversation transcripts for the purpose of improving our service. These transcripts will never be sold or used for commercial purposes.

Jurisdictional Information: The chatbot provides information based on the jurisdiction selected by the user. Legal statutes and codes can differ significantly by location, and users are encouraged to verify any information with local legal authorities to ensure its relevance to their specific situation.

Data Segregation

In-person records are stored separately from EVE AI transcripts, with separate access controls and retention.

Scope

EVE advocates are lay people and do not provide legal advice, therapy or mental health services. All services are offered in good faith and are subject to availability and funding.

User Acknowledgment

By using EVE AI, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions. EVE AI is intended as a resource to help users gather general information and explore possible avenues but is not a replacement for domestic violence advocates or professional legal advice. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use EVE AI.

Payment Processing and Donations: If you donate or make a purchase, your payment is processed by third-party payment processors. We share only the information needed to complete the transaction. Processors may handle data under their own privacy policies. We do not share your personal information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
