Legislative Advocacy

We cannot better survivors lives if we do not have supportive law
EVE contributes actively to legislative change and have been significant in advancing measures to combat violence and promote safety within communities. We stand for judicial reform in Canada. We work with all levels of government in a successful and non-partisan way.
EVE has represented in the House of Commons and Ontario legislature and continues to work with policy makers to better the Justice System.
By collaborating with local advocacy groups, gathering data and personal testimonies to illustrate the urgent need for reform, EVE has helped advance safety for survivors.
We do not support or oppose any particular political party, and do not donate to political campaigning. We aim to further educate people by improving public policy dialogue and develop activities that further our charitable mission by bettering laws, systems and services that impact survivors and the community at large.
