End Violence Everywhere (EVE)

Board VP Canada

Hello! I am a committed advocate for women, children, and families impacted by intimate partner violence. As the former Member of Parliament for Peterborough–Kawartha, I worked to strengthen protections for survivors and increase accountability within the justice system. My parliamentary work included pushing for reforms to bail and protective-order conditions, championing legislation such as Bill S-205, and highlighting the urgent need for criminal recognition of coercive control.

While serving on the Standing Committee on the Status of Women, I consistently amplified survivor voices and called for better training for frontline professionals to identify early signs of abuse. I advocated for trauma-informed supports, improved housing pathways, and community-based solutions that help survivors rebuild safely and with dignity.

As Vice President of EVE I bring my legislative experience my media background,, my community-focused approach, and my unwavering commitment to creating safer futures for families across Canada- yes that includes men too.
